I’m a cinematographer of Russian origin currently living in Los Angeles and working as a cameraperson/ visual storyteller. Prior to moving to LA I’ve been working as a video journalist at the NBC Moscow bureau for several years, and before that -- as a freelance video journalist, focusing on social issues and human stories, with my work featured on BBC, CNN, NBC, AJ+ and other international media. I’m an NYU News & Doc graduate, I’ve also finished Cinematography program at NYFA LA. For me the ultimate goal of my cinematography is to be able to transmit all the six senses through the visuals on screen, and as such -- to be able to move people, enhancing their experience and their love for life. The separation was problematic for both kids and their parents. Now the regional teachers have become nomadic instead and follow the camps.

3D prostheses turn kids into super heroes
Kids with congenital hand deformities design their own 3D prostheses and get them for free. Motorica, the company that produces the appliances, is run by young entrepreneurs who figure out how to create the functional prostheses and use government or crowdfunding support to cover the expenses. About 70 kids received new hand prostheses over the past year.
