About
I'm an award-winning cameraman, director, journalist and founder of Yooran Film, an independent film company in South Korea. Following my MA in Cultural Studies and Media, I focused on cultural and environmental issues from a sociological lens.
I have collaborated with a number of global networks, such as BBC, National Geographic, CNN, and Business Insider. I have been recognized at numerous film festivals, such as Best Cinematography award in United Nation Film Festiva, the NAFF award at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) and the Golden Kapok Award (GZDocs). In addition to my career as a filmmaker, I have authored an instructional book on cinema and a book about my ethnographic travels across the globe.
I have been honored to serve as a jury member for several film festivals, including the Busan International Short Film Festival in South Korea and the Meihodo International Film Festival in Japan.
