I am documentary filmmaker and have been independently making short and feature length documentaries for almost ten years. My films have screened at numerous festivals and venues throughout the U.S. as well as internationally. I am a recipient of the Artist Fellowship Grant in Film/Video from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism and was awarded a regional Emmy nomination for my work. My strengths are in making short subject docs, having worked as a Segment Producer for syndicated television in the early part of my career. My film and video work aspires to confront social norms and stereotypes. I particularily like to make films about individuals who live non-traditional lives, are doing unusual things or see the world in way that the rest of us don't. I often find that these stories are in our own backyard, and that these individuals can take us to "places" that we never imagined.
