This is the story of Wangui. How she ventured into snail farming, a very uncommon business in Kenya and East Africa. The story has a video version, and articles written in both Swahili and English with my byline.
I produced this video on behalf of Astral Aviation, the airline that transported the taxidermy of the last male Northern White Rhino popularly known as Sudan from Europe to Nairobi. Sudan passed on in 2018, and is now ‘immortalized’ at the National Museum of Kenya where it's conserved for education and awareness. This was part of Astral's corporate social responsibility.
This is the story of a Kenya Airways pilot, Donald Lochok took the company to where he was born and bred; a small village in Turkana, Kenya. There was no way he could become a pilot, but he did.
