How do artists spend their time in their studios, which serve as both a workspace and a private space? The studio is where new art is born through the creative thinking of the artist, but it is also where they spend their daily time, much like any other job. The artist featured is Michael Reiter, a Frankfurt-based artist born in Munich in 1952. Reiter utilizes his craft skills to experiment with the constructive clarity of organized structure, creating endless new spaces and possibilities. The concept of "Awakening" suggests that by freeing ourselves from a single point of view, we can gain insight into both ourselves and the world around us. Through embracing constant change, we are empowered to create new categories with a resolute and unwavering attitude. Essay & Narration by Hyein Park: "When our thoughts race like a spinning wheel, we find ourselves constantly running on it. As we run on the incessantly spinning wheel of thought, memories of the past come flooding back and plans for the future begin to form. The current situation is being compared analyzed, categorized, evaluated, and judged. As we rely on our present circumstances past experiences and aspirations for the future to keep us going we become breathless and develop tunnel vision. We continue to run, fearing being trapped under the wheel. We are in a state of turmoil. When our thoughts start spinning like a wheel we need to pause and observe the wheel. We step away from overwhelming thoughts and observe the spinning wheel without reminiscing about past memories or making plans for the future. Without comparing, analysing, categorising evaluating and judging the current situation. By setting aside the current situation, past experiences and aspirations for the future, we can concentrate solely on our "moment-by-moment awareness". In that moment, all becomes tranquil and renewed. Through awakening, we are liberated from being bound to a single perspective gaining a profound understanding of ourselves and the world around us. We create new categories with a resolute and unwavering attitude amidst endless changes."
