Srishti is a documentary filmmaker based in India who is currently Directing a feature length Documentary film in the Himalayan region. In 2018 she co-directed and did the camera for ‘Ishq Dosti & All That’ a film produced for PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING TRUST. She has worked as a DOP on ‘Behrupiya’ another PSBT Project and produced a film for Channel News Asia. Apart from long form documentaries she has been commissioned to direct and produce many short films for NGOs. She studied Filmmaking at Evergreen State College, Washington. She has been associated with NGOs like Feminist Approach to Technology and Nirantar where she has conducted Film making workshops for young girls from marginalized communities.

Ek Tha Gaon is a feature length documentary film set in the Himalayan foothills, an 80 year old woman and a 19 year old girl are two of the seven remaining inhabitants of an abandoned village. The two women struggle with the choice to leave for the city and contend with its alien environment or continue to live in a lonely village.
