About

Kimiya Shokoohi is a journalist who has reported from four continents. Her work can be found across the BBC and numerous publications. Kimiya was first published through a story about British Columbia's connection to the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama, printed in the Vancouver Sun in 2008. President Obama would go on to sign the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, more commonly known as the nuclear deal or the Iran deal. The process was underway amid Kimiya's studies at the University of Southern California, alma matter to HRH Reza Pahlavi, Crown Prince of Iran. After graduating from USC, Kimiya helped the Olympic Broadcasting Services launch a multi-platform media studio. While in Canada, Kimiya covered the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games alongside the International Olympic Committee as a young reporter. It led to numerous coverage of the Olympic Games.
