Kimiya is a writer and filmmaking. She has a Master of Arts in Specialized Journalist from the University of Southern California and has worked across four continents reporting and producing for digital, television, print and virtual media. In 2018, she joined the BBC World 2020 project to help expand BBC World Service programming across Africa. Prior to that, she was a part of the core team that launched the global Olympic Channel in 2016. She has been across seven editions of the Olympic Games, including the inaugural summer and winter Youth Olympic Games (2010, 2012) and a part of the IOC Young Reporter Program. Kimiya is a University of Southern California Annenberg fellow, M.A. Specialized Journalism (2014). She is fluent in English and French, is proficient in Farsi (Persian), and a beginner in Spanish.
