I started shooting my own documentaries, for which I spent time in crack-dens in favellas in Brazil, and on the Maidan in the Ukraine during the revolution. I had no idea what I was doing from an industry standpoint, but boundless enthusiasm. I used these films to get an internship at VICE in Berlin, where I learned about professional production and work-flows. I worked my way up to producing, directing and filming short-form content for VICE News and branded content, including the production of a series of seven branded documentaries for Jack Daniels. I began working as a camera-assistant for an award winning DP in Berlin named Oliver Hans-Wolf, often working his b-cam for television talk-shows and documentaries. Three years ago I moved to Townsville in Australia with my partner. I now assist productions coming from outside, field producing for feature documentaries and television, and filming as a DP.
