About

JAY GUNNING grew up in rural Australia. The driving purpose for all of his work has been to demonstrate the similarities of all cultures and ethnicities with the intention of breaking down social preconceptions. After working internally for international NGO's fighting to alleviate poverty he has a deep understanding of politics and implications relating to story telling. As a result, Jay has worked with numerous NGO's as a creative in house and in the field to help achieve their visual needs. Jay has had several inclusions and three solo exhibitions plus awarded success within the advertising industry. Inspired to explore and gain a greater understanding of communities around the globe is part of his pursuit of positive social change and these values are reflected in his urban works. He currently lives in New York City.
