Voice of America (VOA) is the largest U.S. international broadcaster, providing news and information in more than 40 languages to an estimated weekly audience of 236.6 million people. VOA produces content for digital, television, and radio platforms. It is easily accessed via your mobile phone and on social media. It is also distributed by satellite, cable, FM and MW, and is carried on a network of more than 2500 affiliate stations.

Michael Atit is a radio journalist, reporter, and stringer with Voice of America; South Sudan in Focus’ program. He reports on current events and breaking news from Khartoum, Sudan and the region. Previously, Michael worked with Voice of Hope radio under Catholic Radio Network to promote peace and reconciliation among different community in South Sudan. He has worked as a journalist on varieties of radio news, feature stories, and programs in South Sudan. Through these experiences, he developed a strong sense of identifying relevant topics.

Stanley Okonye, joined the Africa Desk of TRT World in November 2017 as a Planning Producer. He is an accomplished Television News Producer and newsroom manager. He worked with some of the major television stations in Nigeria including TVC News where he played a role in the startup of the local station in 2007 as the first News Editor and newsroom manager. He also contributed to the takeoff of the International arm, TVC News Africa in 2012 where he managed the Output Desk overseeing the coverage of A list events on the continent including the Westgate Attack in Kenya and the burial of Nelson Mandela in 2013. He was a field producer for TVC News Africa at the Africa Union Summits in 2016 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Kigali, Rwanda as well as the 2016 Ghana presidential election. He coordinated the coverage of 2011 and 2015 general elections in Nigeria for TVC News
