Request QuoteAs a teenager born in the Netherlands, I taught sailing and windsurfing during holidays. I studied Cultural Anthropology, served in the army, worked years at a camera store and finally followed my heart and started studying photography at the Royal Art Academy in The Hague. I started my business in 2002 and took commercial photos for over 10 years in Rotterdam before moving to Belgium in 2007. There, I shifted my focus to editorial photojournalism and portrait photography. For over 15 years now I shoot stories and portraits for international media and corporate clients worldwide. Wether it is just a one hour portrait shoot or a 2 day event shoot, I know what professionalism stands for. People say I am flexible and easy to work with, and that my work is always top notch. And I'm happy with happy clients, so that works.
Portraits are my middle name. I shoot presidents, politicians, ceo's or homeless people for a living. Sometimes together with the journalist, but often I do make the appointments myself. When necessary I can be really fast, I control the balance between artificial light, daylight and flash-light quite well, so I have the calmness to make the portrayed person feel at ease and fit in my concept and the lay out of the magazine.

The far east, east of the river Dniestr, a part of the country separated 25 years ago as Transnistria but this separation was never recognised by the western world.
The Dutch have this frustrated relation with New York. In fact they never sold New Amsterdam, but they gave it away after the war with the British, changing it for Suriname. Still fascinated by the USA lots of Dutch citizens emigrated there, like some of my family members did after the second World War. In their houses you can feel these two cultures having mingled in this strange way. They hold on to the Netherlands as they knew it in the fifties, and transformed it into a new Dutch/American id
