About

I am Avijit Ghosh, a 29-year-old, Kolkata, India based independent documentary photographer and videographer. I started my career as a photojournalist with a regional weekly newspaper and later joined SOPA Images as a contributor which distributes my photographs through agencies like Getty Images, AP. I have also independently worked on assignments for national and international media houses and Non profits. My works have been published in news sites like Vice, BBC, Huffington Post, Bloomberg, WSJ, The Guardian and many others. I have been awarded in photo contests by organisations like the UNESCO, Ramsar Convention and some of my works are also exhibited globally.
