Allison's work was nominated for two Gracie awards at CNBC, as well as Digiday's "Greater Good Award" at NBC News. In 2017, she won the Editor & Publishers' EPPY Award for best investigative documentary for her leadership and reporting on the closure of New York City's notorious jail Rikers Island, the Society of Professional Journalists' National Award for outstanding online reporting, Columbia Journalism School's Peter Keller Excellence in Editing Award and a Remi Award at the Houston International Film & Video Festival.
