Born and raised in Karachi (Pakistan), Independent freelance documentary photographer, photojournalist and filmmaker, Khaula Jamil, is an avid traveler working for local and International Development organisations, foundations and businesses. She covers diverse subjects ranging from climate change and health to agriculture and human rights all over Pakistan. Khaula’s forte lies in creating emotive, visually impactful human-centric stories. Her clients include Oxfam Novib/Australia/America, Medecin Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders), USAID, Rotary International, ICRC (Red Cross), IFC (World Bank), Coca Cola amongst others.
When she isn’t on assignment, Khaula works on personal passion projects that include making short documentaries highlighting positive movements in negatively stereotyped and marginalised communities in her hometown to help change the narrative that surrounds them.
