Originally from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, he is an ACTRA and SOCAN member working in film, television, and theatre spanning the major centres of southern and central Alberta. He is best known as Joe Kipp in "The Secret History of the Wild West" (APTN), as an actor and composer of the critically acclaimed international award-winning production of Maev Beaty and Erin Shields’ tantalizing play, Montparnasse (2016-17), as well as for his role as Toby on "Tribal" (APTN), for his portrayal of Stanley Kowalski in Tennessee Williams' "A Streetcar Named Desire" produced by Theatre Outré (2019) and as a solo musician performing under his own name. Nick has been a mentor for Telus: Community Stories 2019 as well as a host of multiple acting workshops in Lethbridge, AB.
He is a founding board member and current vice-president of the Lethbridge Independent Film Society (LIFS) and the owner and founder of HatChap Productions Inc, a Lethbridge based, media production company.
He is a graduate of both the Art Institute of Vancouver’s Professional Recording Arts program (2010) and the University of Lethbridge's Dramatic Arts program (2017). After graduating in 2017 he has continued to pursue acting and composing for theatre, film and television productions while attending many acting and professional development workshops. He landed multiple roles in the Calgary based, Storybook Theatre’s 2018 Season of Change as DARRY in The Outsiders, and as a guitarist and actor in Huck Finn.
He has worked as a background actor on multiple Alberta based television programs and has now moved into speaking roles on some excellent network television shows. Bohle has been the lead sound designer for multiple independent features, commercials and short films, most notably Monique's on 4th (2021 - Festival circuit), Rationale (2020-21 - Festival circuit |Best Crime Short - Calgary Independent Film Festival), A Wink or a Smile (2019) and is now in post-production as a producer and the lead sound designer for #Partytime (2022), a thriller crime feature film set to hit festival circuits in the latter half of 2022. He also recently completed principal photography as the lead actor in another independent short called Divine Intervention directed by Majid Koudmani (Calgary/Vancouver). Additionally, yet another Storyhive documentary called Chess for Life is set to broadcast on Telus Optik VOD in fall 2021 that saw Nick as the colourist, co-editor, composer and sound designer.
Finally, Nick has continued his development as a creator moving into developing, producing and directing network level productions.
Furthermore, Nick is a music improviser for improvised theatre productions such as Drunk Improv (2016-21), LinkedImprov (2015-16) and Gomorrah (2017-2019), as well as a composer and sound designer of theatre productions such as Inhabited (2014 & 2017) and Mars Ain’t the Kind of Place to Raise your Kids (2015). He has also composed music for multiple commercials, documentary pieces and short films and was a dialogue editor and mix-down engineer for the 2010 VIFF ‘Most Popular Canadian Film’ Two Indians Talking.
