She has a passion for journalism and documentary production. She interned as a researcher at the CNN headquarters in Atlanta. Her projects have included reporting on the homeless crisis in Atlanta, which won her a Georgia Associated Press Broadcasters Award. She traveled to Kenya where she produced a short documentary film, "Living Positive." This film highlighted the amazing work of the Safe Water Aids Project in Kenya.

Hummingbird describes my grandmother perfectly. For my senior documentary thesis I profiled my grandmother, my Mymoe, Theresa McGlon. I know everyone thinks that their grandmother is amazing, but mine really is. The story of how she had to start her life over at 67 exemplifies how amazing she really is. My grandfather was arrested about 10 years ago and she was left with absolutely nothing.
The Safe Water Aids Project (SWAP) is an organization based in Kisumu, Kenya, that strives to improve the quality of life for locals who are living positively with HIV as well as those who do not have access to clean water. Their mission is to improve the quality of life by educating those on the importance of hygiene and supporting them to develop profitable, health oriented micro-enterprises.
