Request QuoteVisual storyteller focused in documentary photography and video. Rodrigo Marcondes is currently a candidate for the PhD in Culture Studies at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa holding the FCT Scholarship. He is BA in Journalism and MA in Documentary Photography from AKV St. Joost, in The Netherlands (2012), as well as MA in Scientific Dissemination from Unicamp, in Brazil (2018). Marcondes integrates Coletivo Garapa, a duo of film producers/visual artists that investigates the intersections between documentary and visual arts fields, using many media and techniques, including film; photography; and site-specific installations. Coletivo Garapa had its work shown in Brazil and abroad and it is present in collections such as the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art (MAM) and Moreira Salles Institute. Rodrigo Marcondes developed a solid career in the audiovisual industry. His experience shifts from designing and executing several productions of diverse kinds and sizes, ranging from run-and-gun films to medium production sets. He produced and filmed all over Brazil and as far as New Zealand, Mexico, Argentina and Peru, collaborating with a range of communication companies, with Channel 4 UK and Rede Globo among them. He has been creating and directing content for diverse clients; Vice TV, InBev, Folha de São Paulo to name a few. As a multidisciplinary producer, he seeks inspiration in varied forms of visual arts, believing that a wide frame of references can bring artistic production to a higher level.

O mundo se divide em dois is a short documentary that takes place on the area known as Cracolândia (Crackland), in downtown São Paulo. The film tells the story of a group of drug addicts while they organize a concert for a big annual event that happens in São Paulo.
