He started his career in Beirut, Lebanon writing for the The Daily Star and online for NOW Lebanon. He’s also worked in Israel and Palestine. Since 2011 he’s worked as a radio and television journalist for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Montreal. He’s covered everything from provincial elections to the Lac Megantic train derailment, which killed 47 people. As a video journalist, he shoots, writes and edits his own stories.

In May 2015, more than 100,000 Burundians fled the violence and political instability of their homeland. Most went south to a tiny fishing village in a remote corner of Tanzania. They spent nearly a month their with little shelter, food and no clean water. I reported on the terrible conditions in the village for CBC's flagship newscast The National.
