Zena Wood is a Producer, Writer, First Assistant Director, Production coordinator and Performer living in New York City. She also directs comedy and theatre.
She began producing political mockumentaries in her home country, South Africa, and moved to the US to continue her work. She has since produced and AD’ed on films such as Blacklight, I Heart Jenny (Green Bay Film Festival & New Filmmakers Festival New York) and Life After Her which was selected to screen at Festival de Cannes 2017. She has also coordinated for many Fortune 500 companies and companies such as the BBC and Conde Nast Traveler.
In her free time she enjoys competing in latin dancing championships, yoga, writing for comedy and acting or directing in the theater world whenever she can. Her latest venture is Space Weather Girl - a project that showcases the wonder and wackiness of space and technology. In 2019 she was selected for Nomad Academy out of thousands of global applications. A program aimed at inspiring individuals who want to start their own Start ups.
