Documentary -- work in progress sample, 2010
This was a "work in progress" assembly-- filmed, directed and edited by Carlos M. Barbot for a feature documentary examining the cultural & political atmosphere surrounding seven young men accused in the 2008 stabbing death of Marcelo Lucero in Patchogue -- a town in central Long Island, NY. Mr. Lucero was an illegal Ecuadorian immigrant. The film, "DEPUTIZED", was subsequently completed and broadcast in 2012.
