I did a lot of research, collected data and information and conducted many interviews with sources that include the WHO, MSF, IFRC, people on the ground in the DRC. And I did the writing.
I was asked by TRT World to write an opinon piece on the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). I focused on a permanent solution to prevent the recurrence of this deadly virus in this natural resources-rich Central African nation.
Reuters asked me to write a story about the curent political situation in the Democratic Republic of Cnngo (DRC),with a focus on a possible third tem in office by Joseph Kabila.
Switzerland-based IRIN sent me to the DR Congo's north-western city of Mbandaka to cover the Ebola outbreak for them. I spent a week on the ground, running here and there and walking down the streets of this semi-rural town, talking to humanitarian groups and ordinary people to see how they were coping with the outbreak. I was a wonderful experience.
