I have worked as an Assistant Director and Producer for several short and long form documentaries for Discovery Network (APAC), History Channel, Fox Traveller, Doordarshan, Times Network. As a filmmaker, I am acquainted with all facets of production- from research, scripting and location direction to post-production. I have led teams/film crews and can smoothly coordinate across all stages of production. I am interested in working on projects that stand out for their granular research and thought provoking content.
Cutting Chai Content's is a global research and documentation form. As a Producer and Researcher for the company's in-house, awards winning documentary series called, 'The Devi Project', I produced this film on the life and legacy of Dr. Gagandeep Kang, a clinical scientist and a researcher. She is a first Indian to be elected as a Royal Society Fellow.
To showcase the redevelopment and beautification projects, undertaken by the Government of Punjab two films were commissioned for online platforms of Discovery Networks (APAC). I headed the production and scripted both the films as well.
As an Assistant Director on this 6 part docu-series on Kashmir, I had a key role through all the stages of production- from research, to lining up interviews and case studies, scheduling shoots, assisting the director on the field, footage management, post production and final deliveries, Owing to all the roles and responsibilities, this project has been a vital learning experience of my career.
