About
Based in Shanghai, I write in Dutch and English on (social) economic issues and developments in China and Hong Kong. I also make radio reports. I am a Dutch national.
Before I moved to China to become a correspondent, I worked as a travelling reporter. I did stories on, for example, the new Panama Canal, the marijuana farming in Morocco and the financial and economic 'miracle' in Estonia. Before that, I worked at the foreign news desk of the Dutch national broadcaster.
I lived in France an South Africa. I speak Dutch (obviously), English, French, German and a little Manderin.
