Shubhranshu has worked as South Asia Producer for British Broadcasting Corporation for more than 10 years. He has worked with Le Monde, The Guardian, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, American Broadcasting Corporation, Sky News and helped various news and documentary teams in past 35 years in all over South Asia. He has worked closely with civil society and grassroot organisations and have good contacts there. Shubhranshu has covered almost all the conflicts and major disasters in entire subcontinent in past few decades in most difficult circumstances possible. He was the first to get TV access with foreign militants operating in Indian Kashmir, Naga and ULFA militants operating in Bhutan and Myanmar and Indian Maoists in Central India. Shubhranshu was abducted twice once by Kashmiri militants and at another instance by Indian Maoists and have negotiated his and colleagues safe release after tactful negotiations with abductors. He has written a book on Indian Maoists.
