I went to Leicester ahead of their celebration home game in May 2016, a few days after the club had sealed their first Premier League title in history. I visited some of the main city hubs, made interviews and took photos in order to get a first-hand taste of what will go down as one of the most incredible sports stories of this century. Working as a simultaneous translator during the press conference which unveiled brand new Juventus' signing Joao Cancelo, I was tasked with translating both questions and answers from Portuguese into Italian and vice versa.
As an intern for the Press Association Sports' newsroom, I wrote this report on the previous meetings between Republic of Ireland and Italy ahead of their match at Euro 2016.
