Im a freelance journalist, photographer and videographer based in San Francisco, Calif. Ive spent the early part of my professional carrier as a neuroscience researcher and technical writer. Over the years Ive reported on everything from immigration to science, education to crime. Ive also worked at PBSs cross-platform science show, Quest; as a crime reporter at the hyper-local news site, Oakland North; as the managing editor for El Tecolote, a bilingual newspaper covering San Franciscos Mission District; and a health reporter for The Seattle Times. Im currently working toward a masters degree at UC Berkeleys Graduate School of Journalism focusing on television and documentary film-making.
