Governance accountability participation performance program (GAPP)
The Governance, Accountability, Participation, and Performance (GAPP) program was initially a five-year program (slated to end on November 28, 2017), solely funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). As of January 19, 2015, GAPP is jointly funded by USAID and the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID). GAPP was designed to strengthen the enabling environment for improved service delivery in local governments (LGs) through increased participation and accountability. The Program initially was operational in 25 districts; however, with additional DFID funding in 2015, program coverage expanded to 35 districts. I was responsible for all production-related duties, but mainly running the main camera in the field and later editing all the recorded audio-visual footage to come up with three themed videos. (Technical Assistance for Local governments, leadership development especially Women involvement, and local government accountability systems.
