Based out of Delhi, India, Aditya Seth is an internationally acclaimed independent award winning Documentary, Short & Corporate Film Maker & Academic with a sound grounding in Theatre & Music and has been involved in the making of Short Films, Documentaries & TV programmes in all genres for national as well as international audiences. He is an Academic & Professor of Film & teaches Filmmaking & related media at the Under Graduate & Post Graduate level. He is a Certified Master Trainer for Media & Entertainment Skills Council, Skill India. He is a Certified Master Trainer & Master Assessor for National Skills Development Council, India. Aditya is a founder member of Vikalp: Films For Freedom, He is the former President Indian Documentary Producers Association (IDPA) he was the Treasurer from 2004 -’08 & it’s Vice President from 2018 to 2020.
Trained under the guidance of internationally acclaimed Film maker Shri. Prakash Jha, Aditya’s versatility of talent is clearly visible in the over 500 projects he has designed, devised and executed as Producer/ Writer/ Director / Editor/ Consultant/ Film Critic/ Voice Over artist. His portfolio is defined by Documentaries, Corporate Films, News Magazines, TV shows, Tele- Serials, Public Service Announcements, Audio Visuals, Television Commercials, Live Events, CD Roms & Radio Production. He is an Academic Consultant for University of South Wales, Cardiff, Wales, (UK)
He is a recipient of the esteemed Indian Achievers Award in recognition of Outstanding Professional Achievement & contribution in Nation Building.
He has been awarded at the prestigious 8th Global Choice Awards 2022 for Global Excellence & Leadership In Film Making & Film Education by XEL Research.

Documentaries-
Some of Aditya’s critically acclaimed documentaries include Youth and Future: The Indian Spectrum; Ek Paristhithi, a scathing indictment of the child labour problem in India (for Doordarshan); Learning to Live, a documentary on Life Skills Education for Unicef; Paritap, the first ever 30 minute documentary on the sexual abuse of children in India (for the Dept. of Women and Child Development, Govt. Of India); Toxic Trespass an in depth analysis of hazardous waste, it’s abuse, impact & it’s management; A Silent Revolution, a documentary for the SAARC Conference on Rural Sanitation for UNICEF and An Experience of a Hindu Temple: a documentary on the festival of Shivaratri for The Asia Society, New York. His critically acclaimed documentary Bahadur The Accidental on Nepalese Labour migration & HIV won the Best Documentary award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival. It has been screened at various prestigious International Film Festivals in India, Nepal, Spain, Indonesia, UK, Iraq & Iran. The film won Documentary Short Award of Excellence at the International Film Festival For Peace, Inspiration, Equality, Jakarta, Indonesia. It also Won Best Feature Film (Non-Fiction) award at The Indian Independent Film Festival, Bengaluru, 2013 & was an official entry in the Indian Panorama @ the 45th Indian International Film Festival, Goa, 2014. PVWC a training film on gender justice made for the Mumbai Police produced by the NGO Sneha. “Angioplasty of Streams” a documentary on water resource management in a drought prone area is being currently screened at various Film Festivals in India & Abroad. Writer & Creative Producer for a documentary on Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai for National Geographic Channel.
Executive produced & directed a documentary entitled “Are They Better Off” on the matrilineal system of Khasis in Meghalaya for the Films Division of India which was nominated & screened at various festivals across the country & abroad including The Bioscope Global Film Festival 2018 & Documentary and Short International Movie Award, Indonesia 2018 . It won the Best Documentary Feature award at the 15th Accord Cine Fest 2021. His Experiments with Science on Gandhiji’s vision, perception & experiments with science won third prize at Swatantrata ka Vigyan Filmotsav competition for Vigyan Prasar, Govt. of India. A series of Films on the Human Rights of brick kiln workers Brick Kilns : A life all its own for Haq: Centre for Child Rights.
