Her 2019 feature documentary SILENT FORESTS is about the fight to save forest elephants from ivory trafficking in Africa’s Congo Basin. Mariah is passionate about illuminating the myriad intersections between humans and animals, and celebrating those dedicated to protecting wildlife. In Cameroon and Congo’s lush jungles, one of Africa's most iconic species – the forest elephant - is being slaughtered to extinction. This film will bring viewers to one of the front lines of our global poaching crisis, and profile the men and women who are fighting to stop the flow of illegal ivory from Central Africa. For the last 35 years, endless conflict and war has caused Afghanistan's stray dog population to grow out of control. Exposed to extreme weather, traffic accidents, and hunger, these dogs are maligned by many in Afghan society for spreading diseases like rabies. Now, in a remarkable effort, a small group of ex-pats and locals have begun caring for the animals. Role: Field Producer/Post Producer
