Mother Facing Deportation Receives Sanctuary in NYC Church

Amanda Morales Guerra fled Guatemala in 2004 fearing for her life. She did not know that she could apply for asylum until long after the 1 yr. deadline had passed. Recently ICE told her to bring a one way ticket to her next meeting with them. Instead, her and her 3 US born children are took up sanctuary in a NYC church while trying to find a legal way to remain here together.

J. Marion Sims was a doctor (a gynecologist) in the 1800s. He purchased black women slaves and used them as guinea pigs for his untested surgical experiments. He repeatedly performed genital surgery on black women WITHOUT ANESTHESIA! For this he is revered as the 'Father of Gynecology'. This 360º video is from Saturday's (8/19) protest.
