Wednesday the 29th of May marks a pivotal moment in South Africa's democratic journey as citizens cast their votes in one of the most crucial elections since 1994. These elections hold significant importance for the nation's future, 30 years after the country's first democratic vote.
I met with a social worker to gain insight into the prevalent drug Mandrax in South Africa and to inform the audience about its impact. Our discussion delved into the current state of Mandrax abuse within the community, examining both the psychological and physical harm caused by the substance. We also explored the significant challenges encountered during the rehabilitation process.
