I am a multimedia journalist and video producer. I have over 15 years of professional video production experience, preceded by NYU Film School and continuing while I attained an MS from Columbia Journalism School. My photography and/or video work has been featured in The New York Times, WNET Channel 13's MetroFocus, PBS, NationSwell, The Huffington Post, The New York World, Food and Wine, The Finger Lake Times and Italy's RepubblicaTV and D Magazine. I constantly strive to apply my production skills to my journalistic and documentary work. This includes commissioning original recordings of public domain music, familiarity with image and sound archives, and advanced proficiency in post-production skills such as sound mixing and color correction. I speak proficient Japanese and have produced a couple Japanese language pieces, including a short documentary on the Japanese Obon festival.
