Jenni was born in Libya in 1992 to Malian parents. In 2013, he fled his home due to the violence and instability caused by the 2011 Civil War. He now lives in Palermo and works as a Cultural Mediator with the city of Palermo, reception centers, and aid organizations to help newly-arrived migrants acclimate and apply for asylum. A documentary short about Nur, Juhura, and Lalu, a Rohingya family living in Balukhali refugee camp, in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. In August 2017, they fled ethnic persecution at the hands of local militias and the Tatmadaw military in their home state of Rakhine, Myanmar, along with nearly 900,000 other Rohingya men, women, and children. This film is about their lives, one year on.
