Request QuoteStudied a B.A. in Communication in Mexico’s UIA, and in the UK he finished an M.A. in Screenwriting at LFS and a program in documentary filmmaking at NFTS. He was selected for the 2011 Berlinale Talent Campus and 2017 Guadalajara’s Doculab. Directed two documentary features and various documentary short films that have been selected at renowned film festivals in America, Europe and Africa as the New Orleans Film Festival, the ECU at Paris and Morelia Film Festival, GIFF and DocsMX in Mexico. Has also directed film projects for brands and institutions as Vice, PNUD, Nike, AP, Samsung, Johnnie Walker and Mini Cooper.

Short documentary made for the UNDP to show the progress of Mexico in the involvement in political matters of its indigenous population. It was shot in 2015 with a Sony Alpha 7. I was in charge of directing and producing the project.
Documentary Feature about the carnival of a small Mexican town rejected by the Church and persecuted by the law due to the colossal blasts that are blown up with sledgehammers by the daring believers during the five days of this ancestral party. Has been selected in more than a dozen festivals. I directed and produced the project.
This documentary project is the result of a collaboration between Tony Guerrero -a self-taught artist and a retired gang member raised in Tijuana-, the curatorial team of Casa Vecina, Mexico City’s Prison System Undersecretariat, and Santiago Maza -documentary filmmaker-. It was shot at the Santa Martha Acatitla Prison and it reflects upon the conditions behind creative and existential reality.
