About
I am a freelance producer who has worked across international news and current affairs in the UK and the Middle East. I have a track record of producing exciting and compelling news stories for local, national and international broadcasters.
I have previously worked on programmes for On Assignment with Richard Engel an hour-long news magazine show broadcast in America on MSNBC. Some of my duties included research, pre-interviews, location scouting, finding strong editorial lines, selecting best footage and writing draft scripts.
I worked with Al Jazeera English in the Doha bureau as a producer on their 24-hour rolling news channel. I wrote scripts, cut packages and sourced and edited vision. I covered a wide range of global news stories.
I have previously freelanced at NBC News for three years. In that time, I have worked as an Associate Producer on multiple platforms, working with Producers to deliver spots for Nightly News and TODAY.
Amongst my responsibilities I also field produce for both programmes, conducting pre-production, location scouting, organising cameras and equipment and assisting in the final edit. I have also live produced for weekend TODAY.
I have extensive experience with Avid and Premiere Pro editing software, and I am confident filming and editing autonomously. I regularly use Canon XF205, Canon C100 and Canon EOS 750D cameras. In addition, I am fully versed in NBC News’ internal workflow, including iNews, Avid Interplay Assist and media transfer systems.
As a freelance video producer, I have filmed and edited my own content for Press Association, Metro.co.uk and Evening Standard online, including interviews with UK leaders and influencers.
I have experience working in the field both alongside a correspondent as well as by myself as a one-man-band. I am comfortable working dynamically across a range of topics, from red-carpets, to political rallies.
