Ahmad Waleed is a Lahore-based broadcast journalist having vast experience in print and electronic media. He is working with 24 News as Controller News looking after the news pouring in from different parts of the Punjab province besides analyzing political and social issues on TV as an expert. He has Bachelor’s Degree majored in Journalism, Master’s degree in French Language and Literature and MA in Political Science majored in International Relations, International Law and International Orgnaization. He began his career as a sub-editor at The Nation in 1993 and later he joined The News as a reporter. Mr Waleed has worked with all the major news channels of Pakistan including Geo News, Aaj TV, DawnNews, Dunya TV and Samaa TV. Mr Waleed has travelled to several countries including U.K., U.S., Middle Eastern countries besides having worked with Bahrain Tribune for a brief period. He went to the US on IVLP broadcast journalism program in 2005 and he also covered the US elections in 2016 for Samaa TV from Washington DC. He has attended ICFJ workshops on Breaking News, Code of Ethics, Business News, Reporting in Conflict Zones, etc. His interests range from politics to social sector.
