Born in Barcelona, Ferran Quevedo covered Middle East since 2003. His images have captured daily life in Palestine and Lebanon. Since 2007, he has been based in Beirut. As independent journalist he has worked on extensive photographic essays in Iraq, Iran, Kashmir, Nepal, India, Romania, Algeria, Morocco, Syria, West Bank, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine. Quevedo started work as sports newspaper photographer in 1997 for Mundo Deportivo and La Vanguardia. During seven years, he has been specialized covering football, tennis, motorsport and was represented by Vandystadt-Allsport in Paris, Bilderberg in Hamburg and AFLO.com in Japan. He works regularly on assignment with humanitarian projects focusing in Human Rights and children education in Palestine and Lebanon. Completely self-learning in photography, has been influenced by the work of great documentary photographers like William Klein, James Natchwey or Abbas.
