A collection of my non-fiction work from the year 2012 to 2015. Includes corporate video, making of, travel, food, short documentary, music and wedding work.
While staying in the wonderful, montane village of Thitimathi in South India, I filmed a few visuals using the equipment we had on hand and decided to create a short poetic ode to the place. It was purely to spread the joy of having roamed the village to those who haven't been there. I wasn't commissioned, it was unplanned.
A short 1 minute summary documentary of the ideology and nature of the UnSchool Fellowship Program, made from the same footage used to make the longer documentary.
I was commissioned to shoot this short documentary about the work done by social outreach workers in the slums of Sion, Mumbai and adjoining areas. They go into the settlements and raise awareness amongst women about breast cancer, conducting regular drives and check-ups. I researched, travelled, interviewed and shot this film over three days, interacting with locals extensively.
A short documentary about the UnSchool Disruptive School of Design's one week long fellowship that was held in Mumbai, 2017. It was a dynamic documentary film-making experience which involved travelling and exploring various facets of the city of Mumbai, taking interviews and stitching it all together into a short non-fiction narrative.
