I'm a freelance photographer, videographer, designer, and editor located in Iowa, USA. I'm also working on my M.A. in photojournalism at the School of Visual Communication. Previously, I was the Photographer, Videographer, Editor and Designer at Ohio University's Russ College of Engineering. As a DAAD internXchange fellow, I interned at the Potsdamer Neueste Nachrichten, a Tagesspiegel paper covering Brandenburg, Germany's capital city. For several years before that I worked in Berlin, where I first traveled on a Fulbright Fellowship. I received my B.A. in German and Literature, Science and the Arts from the University of Iowa. My research interests are focused on immigration, justice, history and public policy. My work has appeared in publications such as Archaeology, The Athens News, The Cedar Rapids Gazette, The Daily Mail, The Houston Chronicle, Ohio Today, PBS NewsHour Online, Smithsonian Online, The Texas Tribune. It has been recognized by Photo Philanthropy, as well as the NPPA.
