For three years the Rapa Nui people of Easter Island have campaigned to protect the waters around their home. Supported by the Bertarelli Foundation and Pew Charitable Trusts, their dream finally came true on the 5th of October 2015 when President Bachalet of Chile declared at the Our Ocean conference that it was her desire to support the Rapa Nui's proposal.
