Request QuoteCelia Talbot Tobin is a freelance documentary photographer and journalist based in Mexico. Her work often explores ideas around gender and the relationships built between humans and their environment. Raised on a farm in central New York, she studied photography and Latin American history in Florida before moving to Brooklyn, where she was based for six years. She later moved to Montana, where she received her master’s in environmental science journalism. Celia has spent time as a fellow with the International Women and Media Foundation, as well as with the Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources. She was the first recipient of the Crown of the Continent Environmental Reporting Grant, is an alumna of the Eddie Adams Workshop and a proud member of Women Photograph. Clients include The New York Times, NPR, Harper’s Magazine, Audubon Magazine, Buzzfeed News, CNN, The Telegraph Sunday Magazine, High Country News, Inside Energy, PBS, Newsday, amNY, YMCA and other local outlets.
