Erin Macpherson is an award-winning docu-fiction filmmaker from South Africa, with many years of experience in the film and video industry as a director, cinematographer, video editor, and VFX editor. Using their Master of Arts in Documentary Film Directing from the prestigious Doc Nomads, their work has featured on national television, won awards such as the Golden Horn SAFTA and Golden Eagle Best Director Award, and have featured in Oscar and EFA Qualifying festivals, such as TFF, GoShorts, DocLisboa, and SFFILM. They have also worked alongside renowned Documentarians in South Africa, on films which have won awards at festivals such as Encounters, Big Sky, AFI Docs, and been nominated for an Emmy. They also have an extensive knowledge of social media content creation, having crafted online educational videos, sizzle reels, trailers, promotional marketing videos, and UGC for a variety of organisations and companies.

Cinematographer, Editor: Trabalho em Progresso Short Film
Co-filmed and co-edited short film, Trabalho em Progresso, which looks at the damaging and wasteful nature of humans in our attempt to relentlessly steal from the Earth. Through the perspective of a graffiti artist leaving his mark on an abandoned building, the film reflects on how we as humans leave our mark on nature and the Earth.
