I was born in 1988 in Ciudad Juárez, México, since I was a kid Id been in contact with American culture because of the border city of El Paso and the surrounding area. When I was about 12 years old I knew that i wanted to study filmmaking or something related, some years later I studied Visual Arts with specialization in photography and video production in UACJ. In 2009 while I was in college I made an exchange to the filmmaking program from the University of Valparaíso Chile, the exchange helped me to improve my technical skills and to increase my awareness of other cultures also to make good friends from many countries. Ive got the fortune to make some great trips with my family and friends in Mexico since I was young and in Europe, North and South America in the last years. I have lived the most of my life in Juárez and despite its international well known conflicts it has a very unique identity that is more complex than just violence. I perceive that aproximately since 2011 the city has an increasing cultural activity with more and more people involved in art collectives, music and community service. I find meaningful to catch those hidden valuable stories.
