Adrian Alvarez (b. 1992 in Madrid) is an award-winning documentary photographer, camera operator and cinematographer, currently based in Spain. He graduated in Journalism at Complutense University of Madrid in 2015; and obtained the MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of the Arts London in 2017. In 2022 he was recognized with the Dawn Journalism Award (Premio Amanecer de Periodismo 2022) for his long-term photo essay about rural depopulation and resilience in Spain. Alvarez’s work has been published in international media outlets such as The Washington Post, GEO Magazine, El País, ElDiario.es, and Público among others; as well as exhibited in England, France and Spain. He has also worked on commercial assignments for clients such as LG Electronics, Iberia and Warner Music Spain. His services includes: Camera Operation, Direction of Photography, Direction, Production, Interviews, Editing and Color Grading. He is proficient in DaVinci Resolve and Premiere.
