He travels the world to shoot projects for documentary films and major corporations. His outstanding work as a director of photography is recognized by his peers in multiple regional Emmy Awards, a National Press Photographer’s award for Outstanding Documentary Photography, CINE Golden Eagle, Telly and Accolade awards. Tom is known for his consistent and quality work as a director of photography. He has shot more than 100-episodes of series programs for regional and national television. He has directed and filmed five Emmy Award-winning documentaries, including Idaho the Movie (1 & 2); The Rocky Mountain Fly Highway and Idaho from Above. In 2007, Tom served as Director of Photography on Green is the Color of Money with Academy Award-winning director, Ben Shedd and received an Accolade Award for Best Documentary Photography. His 1999 documentary, Life or Meth was nominated for a Northwest Emmy Award and won a National Press Photography Association award for Outstanding Documentary Photography. Tom recently received an Amazon Video Direct Star Award (September, 2017) for the film, Idaho the Movie, for being one of the top 50 most engaging independent films on Amazon.
