I am a multimedia journalist at UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism. I am a graduate of UC Davis, where I received a BA in International Relations and minored in Communication and Middle East South Asia Studies. I was an associate producer at Capital Public Radio, Sacramento’s NPR affiliate news station. I currently freelances for various publications in California and the Middle East, and reports on issues ranging from gentrification in the Bay Area to legislative hearings at the state capitol.

Stephon Clark's death rattled the city of Sacramento. After police shot and killed the unarmed black man, thousands took to the street to protest. That conflict came to a head Saturday night when a sheriff’s department cruiser struck a protester. But some progress began to emerge as the city chose to be transparent with the community and work with leaders to push for change.
