Request a demoTimothy Wolfer is a journalist and filmmaker. For over a decade he has been working on stories of humanitarian aid and migration. His work has taken him to 40+ countries; places like South Sudan to tell stories of the conflict, Bangladesh to cover stories of the Rohingya fleeing Myanmar, Cuba as the country first opened to U.S. humanitarian assistance, and Haiti days after the 2010 earthquake. His latest film, The Right Girls, follows a group of transgender women headed to the U.S. Border with the 2018 Large Migrant Caravan. This film was distributed on Amazon, iTunes and Google Play. He has also produced numerous short docs for PBS stations, winning him a regional Emmy. Wolfer was also present on the steps of the U.S. Capitol on January 6th filming as a mob breached the building and his footage was featured by the New York Times. Most recently, Wolfer was in Mariupol, Ukraine for the start of the Russian invasion. He was one of the last international journalists to leave Mariupol.

Adopting Haiti looks at CNN’s Soledad O’Brian and Anderson Cooper and the influence they had on the U.S. State department in the evacuation of 135 orphans in the wake of the catastrophic 2010 earthquake. Timothy Wolfer and team hitched hiked in days after the earthquake with only the necessary supplies they could carry. Featured on Hulu.com for the one year tribute to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
Commissioned by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), this film documents the logistical challenges of the UN Cluster Partners as they fly in food, shelters, and military units to provide assistance to the people of South Sudan.
Road to Hope tells the stories of children in East Africa caring for their HIV-positive parents. The film follows the lives of four children as they become caretakers and eventually learn to survive without their parents. The film is narrated by Torrey DeVitto, star of ChicagoMED and Pretty Little Liars, and has been an official selection in 23 festivals, and has been honored with multiple awards.
BQnow is an independent documentary series that looks at the intersection of people and business. This clip is part of an episode that will look at the first infrastructure project being conducted in Cuba in over 60 years; resurfacing the Havana tennis courts. However, this project is about more than tennis. It is about restoring friendships that have been lost for generations.
