I was a solo operator for the bubble film: a feature-length kiteboarding documentary. Production was several weeks, but being reliant on the right conditions for the athletes to perform we often needed to be ready to go at a moments notice. During shooting I also was directing the athletes, as this was a small production with out support crew.
Operated: corporate commercial
I was the A camera operator for this event: the premiere North American kiteboarding competition. In this role, I had to capture the action while it happened, not missing a moment of it. When the competition was not running there was b-roll to capture, interviews to get, and concerts to cover to fill out the coverage of the event.
I edited this project for Core Kiteboarding. I was bringing together some footage I shot and some shot by others. The goal was to display the riding and equipment through a travel story. To make it snappy (pun intended) and quick, and to tell the gist of the story with commentary or interview making it better suited for publishing on facebook.
