A bookworm, cinephile and a culture aficionado based in Bangladesh, Nepal and India; Rawyan Shayema's one-womxn-army approach to filmmaking emphasizes simplicity and disclose untold stories while experimenting with forms and ideas. Since 2011, she/they worked as a cinematographer in more than 20 documentaries and short fiction films. Apart from that, she/they created, produced & edited more than 30 videos for INGO, NGO and International TV channels. Besides, Rawyan (she/they) is the founder of Art Haaat (arthaaat.com). As a freelancer, she/they created videos for UNHCR, IRC, UNWOMEN, BRAC, RRRC, BLUE GOLD, SAVE THE CHILDREN, EMBASSY OF NETHERLANDS, WFP, BANDHU, EST Media, Al Jazeera English, Nat Geo, SBL and so on!
